Spring Gardening

Yesterday, M&M Dad took the girls to Home Depot to pick up some supplies and take advantage of the Saturday kids craft. They made very cute planter boxes. Starshine really wanted to have some flowers to go in her box, and since M&M Dad didn't remember all of the stuff he was supposed to get :), we went back to HD today to get seeds and the rest of our list...

The first step in any good container gardening project is definitely DECORATING!

We then planted mint, basil and rosemary (and a strawberry plant she got as a birthday party favor). So we are all crossing our fingers that we will have some delicious dinners in our future. At least this helped us think it was spring-like today.

Good Morning! Those bright and shinny smiles certainly make me think of Spring. Please post pictures of the new pots as the plants grow. Love to all, Grandma L

Our garden(yard)looks so much better since your visit. The perennials are coming to life, and I've planted poppies with gold, orange and yellow flowers (already). We have purple petunia and red fuscia baskets, AND two baskets of strawberries that I snack on daily...yum!

Cute (and hopefully tasty in the future) project! Loved catching up on all your vacation posts, what a great time! Your girls are so cute and looking so much older. Fun!
